This is my three cups drawing. I drew a gas station cup, a coffee tub and a paint cup. I used just a regular pencil to draw the cups and a eraser. The big idea behind my work is that you don't have to be good at art to create good art. My goal is to get better at the principles of drawing and make my drawings better. I learned a little more about drawing straighter lines and a little about shading.
This is my One Point perspective drawing. I choose to draw a sidewalk with rail guards and light posts. I used a black layout pencil and a eraser to make this drawing. The big idea behind this piece of art work is the light work of the picture I drew. I tried to be as realistic with he lighting in this photo as I could. My goal is to get better with shading and detail in my drawings. I learned more about shading and perception in this assignment.
This is my still life drawing. In this drawing I drew a bottle, cup, and a little milk jug. I used a black pencil and eraser and some tissues to create this drawing. The big idea behind this piece of art work is the shading and values of light. I tried my best to capture the light from real life into the photo. my goal next time is to get better at understanding the values of light. I learned more about shading and the values of light in this drawing.
This is my line quality drawing. In this drawing I made a value scale and then drew a tree using those values. I used just a regular pencil and my finger to try to shade it a little better. The big idea behind this drawing is shading. My goal next drawing is to get better at shading and drawing. I learned more about shading in this drawing.
This is my 2 point Perspective drawing. In this drawing I drew a barn about to be stepped on by a giant foot. I used a black pencil, tissue and eraser to draw this. The big idea behind this drawing is perspective. I tried to make the foot look a lot bigger than the barn to make the drawing have a sense of depth. I learned more about size in this drawing.
This is my self portrait drawing. I used a black drawing pencil a eraser and a tissue to create this drawing. The big idea behind this drawing is the shading. This isn't my best drawing but i tried to capture my face as close as I could in the class time we had. I learned how to draw part of the face in this drawing like the ears, mouth and nose in this drawing.
This is my charcoal drawing. For this drawing I used charcoal white and a charcoal pencil to create this drawing. The big idea behind this drawing is the shading, it's really important in this drawing to make it look real. I tried to shade to bring out the highlight in the drawing. I learned more about the charcoal pencils and how to use them in this drawing.
